It’s Summertime!!!
The weather is beautiful! Blue skies, bright sunshine, birds singing, flowers blooming, sno-cones a plenty, BUT please be respectful of your attire when you come to the House of God. Please, no sagging pants/shorts, no under garments showing, no halters, no strapless tops or dresses, and no SHORT shorts. Bermuda/knee shorts, capris, slacks, or jeans are okay. Be comfortable, but PLEASE be respectful. Thank you for being mindful of keeping God’s House Holy.

GCBC 2010 Fall Festival!
Thank you for your AWESOME service last year! We need you to do it again! If you are interested in working as a volunteer for the upcoming Fall Festival, please join us in the Gym immediately following 9:30 a.m. morning worship on Sunday, August 22nd! We encourage you to take this as an opportunity to fellowship with your church family and meet new members!
New Broadcasting
We are now on the Fort Worth Cable Show, Channel 28. “Praise God”. We will be broadcasting 1 hour for 4 days a week. The scheduled times are: Sunday @ 1:00 p.m., Tuesday @ 7:00 p.m., and Saturday @ 11:30 a.m. Each show will run for two weeks. |
Children’s Church—Reminder
Attention all parents. Drop off time for your kids for Children’s Church is 9:15 a.m. We ask for your cooperation in having your children arrive no earlier than drop-off time so that everything will run smoothly.
VBS Volunteers
Please join us Saturday, August 21 at 10:00 a.m.—11:30 a.m. to begin the foundation for our upcoming 2011 VBS activities. We are looking for ways to be more proactive, process improvement, etc. Therefore, your concerns, ideas, and thoughts are highly needed. We are moving towards SUCCESS and it begins with you.

Get Your Popcorn Ready!!
The GCBC Annual Blue/White & Powder Puff Football Game is right around the corner. The games will be held Wednesday, August 4th at North Crowley High School at 7:00 p.m. Young men/women (ages 14 - 25) and men/women (ages 26 & up) are encouraged to sign up at the Welcome Center.
Visions of Praise
Do you have a passion for dance? Visions of Praise is hosting a 3 night dance workshop for ladies ages 19—29. The workshop will feature ballet, jazz, and lyrical instruction on Mondays, July 19th, July 26th, and August 2nd from 6:45 p.m.—8:30 p.m. Please sign up in the Gym. For more information, contact Sis. 3 days one event!
GCBC get ready for the opportunity to take your PRAISE to the next level! Join us in ONE event for 3 days! We are taking a “new” approach to our family conference this year. We feel this will empower every believer to impact the world and go higher in kingdom building! Listed below are conference details:
Cost: Adults -$20 | Youth -$10 (Family w/5 or more & Groups w/5 or more are eligible for $5 discount) ONLINE registration available: www.gcbcfw.org! Cost includes: concert, meals, materials, tote bag and back pack for youth w/supplies.
Conference Activities:
Thursday, July 29th ~ 6:45pm – 8:30pm (FREE hot dogs, chips, soft drink, cookie 5:30-6:30pm in the Gym) FREE Community Forum: Panelists will consist of school, local government and church officials.
Friday, July 30th ~ 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Concert: Featuring Billy Rivers & the Angelic Voices of Faith, Gospel recording artist Spensha Baker and other artists.
Saturday, July 31st ~ 8:00am – 1:00pm
Conference: Will offer both adult, youth, and children ages 6 and up, workshops and a final presentation for the entire family by Dr. D.L. Moody on “Empowering the Believer” and lunch to follow.

Annual Youth Basketball Game
Calling all hoopers to come and showcase your skills. The annual Youth Basketball game will be held on Wednesday, August 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the GCBC Gym. All youth may sign up after morning worship in the gym. For more information, contact Sis. Carlette Stone @ 682-554-1029. |
